Verizon Business announced on April 17 the definitive agreement for the acquisition of BlueJeans Network, the videoconferencing and enterprise-level events platform. The acquisition expands Verizon’s immersive unified communication offering
The acquisition will combine BlueJeans with Verizon’s unified communication as a service offering, allowing users to benefit from BlueJeans’ enterprise-level video experience, using Verizon’s high-performance global networks. In addition, the platform will be integrated into Verizon’s 5G product roadmap, providing secure and real-time engagement solutions for fast-growing sectors such as telemedicine, distance learning and field service.

The acquisition process is subject to customary conditions, therefore it should end in the second quarter of 2020.
