In addition to the new BlueJeans Basic, new features have also been launched for Verizon’s video conferencing and collaboration platform
BlueJeans, Verizon Business‘ proprietary collaboration and live streaming platform, evolves and upgrades. First, it unveiled the new free BlueJeans Basic video conferencing plan, which allows users to meet without time limits, for one-on-one meetings or in groups of up to 25 people.
BlueJeans Basic, which adds to the range of subscriptions available for the BlueJeans Meetings platform (Standard, Pro and Enterprise), offers Dolby Voice audio quality, HD video and background noise reduction. Built with 256-bit AES encryption, BlueJeans Basic is a secure tool developed specifically to match the levels of protection required by businesses, and is available in both desktop and mobile versions, with all the key features for more collaborative meetings such as seamless one-touch joining via browser, calendar integration, breakout sessions, file sharing, polls and annotations. BlueJeans, in short, fits into today’s hybrid world, offering businesses a flexible video platform that adapts to any connection mode or device.
The latest news
That’s not all, however, as Verizon has also launched some important implementations for the BlueJeans platform, starting with BlueJeans Events, which has been enriched with new features that will improve the experience for everyone involved. For speakers, there is a revamped Dashboard that can report whether the moderator has a microphone and camera enabled, while the new “Presentation Upload” feature provides access to documents via Google Drive and Microsoft One Drive.
For participants, a broader set of available reactions will enable speakers to get more concrete feedback; in addition, the participant view has been updated by refining color contrast, iconography and usability. Finally, to simplify organizational work, the Smart Producer feature automatically recognizes the active speaker and modifies layout options to allow better viewing for participants.
Rounding out the pool of new features, BlueJeans Developer Platform will enable third-party developers to integrate BlueJeans’ best features into any web or mobile application, while Direct Guest Join is the soon-to-be-announced solution that will provide a one-touch experience to enable Microsoft Teams Rooms users to easily and directly join BlueJeans Meetings-and vice versa-both from the web and from Windows and Android devices.
