The company, which has grown over its twenty years of activity to become a complete provider of AV/IT solutions for meeting spaces, classrooms and collaboration environments of all sizes, presented several important innovations at ISE 2023
The Atlona news at ISE 2023 concerned both the product side and the software update, and we had the opportunity to visit the stand together with the Regional Sales Manager Italy, Spain & Malta Marco Bolzonello, who told us: “Let’s start from Velocity, a system that allows you to control AV equipment and carry out the so-called room scheduling, i.e. everything concerning the scheduling of meetings both in the huddle and in the middle room, even up to large conference rooms. Velocity is based on IP, so it can be controlled over the network via touch panels, available in three different sizes, 5.5”, 8” and 10”, and also from a URL interface.”
Introduced six years ago, Velocity is not a new system, but the latest implementations that allow it to control up to 24 devices and as many as 40 rooms are new. “The development of Velocity” – points out Marco Bolzonello – “also took place thanks to the collaboration with Prase, and is now a stable and highly performing system. Then we have Omega, Atlona’s main product, a series of matrix switchers, signal amplifiers and splitters, all accompanying products for conference rooms. Finally, the Captivate camera, launched last year, and the new speakerphone with a very modern and captivating design aroused great interest in our stand.”
Beyond the product news, however, an important announcement was the software update of the award-winning OmniStream AV-over-IP platform, with new advanced features that raise the bar for visual quality, performance and convenience of the integration into networked AV implementations.
“OmniStream 2.0” – Marco Bolzonello told us – “offers implementations for three scenarios in particular: Corporate, Educational and Network Operation. Options such as multiview display, Picture in Picture or Picture by Picture definitely expand the possibilities of using the platform in different contexts, while immediate switching (30 milliseconds) is an advantage in all respects and for all applications. AV-over-IP is the most important market right now, the products are in high demand.
