Obviously the date is not casual to announce the birth of the Italian AVIXA Women Council, created to support and encourage the active presence of women in the Systems Integration world.
The Women Council was inaugurated by AVIXA in the U.S., and then multiplied into local groups created according to specific needs, in order to raise awareness of the role of women within the Systems Integration industry and support them in their professional life, despite the difficulty of emerging in a field such as STEM disciplines.
The Italian group, at the moment composed by six people (Giulia Nicosia, Giulia Vogliolo, Giuliana Geronimo, Rosa Della Sala, Valeria Rapa and our Chiara Benedettini, Project Manager of Connessioni) will start its activity with a series of meetings and interviews with women who, with their personal and professional work, are an inspiration for the growth of each of them. More generally, the intention of the Italian Council is to respond to the specific needs for professional and personal development of the members and of the group itself, to contribute to the mission of the Women Council and to expand its numbers, in order to make its contribution increasingly incisive. But this will only be the first taste: at ISE in May in Barcelona the real program of the next months will be presented, obviously extended to anyone who would like to participate.
