In today’s video we discuss a must-have tool in every director’s office, we are referring to Datavideo’s iCast10-NDI switcher.
It is ideal in corporate and conferencing environments and is highly integrable into pre-existing systems. iCast10-NDI is an excellent basis for building broadcast systems with a low number of signals.
In addition to the classic HDMI and SDI connectors through which we normally receive signals, iCast10-NDI is also capable of receiving up to 4 different NDI signals then through the network, enabling signal reception even from long distances and controlling PTZ cameras through the same transmission protocol.
iCast10-NDI, besides being a switcher, is also a fantastic recorder capable of recording both individual input channels and the program coming from the mixer directly to SSD with h.264 codec.
It is also a very high-performance encoder/decoder, and once the streaming parameters are set, it can stream without additional devices.
Finally, it also receives audio signals thanks to XLR and RCA inputs on the back.
