The new RD Series models just launched by BenQ are explicitly designed for software programmers, and include features specifically dedicated to their activity
BenQ announced the launch of the new RD Series, the first line of monitors tailored to meet the needs of software programmers. The RD Series models, in fact, support programming productivity thanks to an advanced coding mode, offering very clear and distinguishable characters to facilitate code differentiation in both light and dark themes, adaptable to different working environments. Accessible with a simple touch of the hotkey, located in the center of the function bar, the RD Series coding mode simplifies the work of programmers, who spend many hours in front of screens and have to navigate lines of text that are not always easy to understand. discern.
The RD Series improves the workstation thanks to the adjustment of height, inclination, orientation and rotation, and also features BenQ’s exclusive fine-coated panel (varies by model), which boasts advanced anti-reflective properties designed specifically for encoding. The goal is to provide software developers with maximum clarity of details and sharpest vision.
The new monitors are based on MoonHalo backlighting (variable depending on the model), which combines a pleasant design element with comfortable lighting, ensuring users can stay focused and productive for longer, even during long work sessions in any environment. Of course, you can adjust preferences, including brightness, color temperature, light mode, and more.
Finally, to safeguard the physical comfort and eye health of programmers, the RD Series is equipped with a night protection system, which combines minimum brightness technology, an eye protection filter for low settings darkroom lighting and display optimization, as well as the automatic Brightness Intelligence Gen2 function, which detects ambient light and corrects its brightness.
Available on the market starting from the first half of 2024, the RD Series will include the RD240Q models (24.1” 16:10 aspect ratio), RD280U and RD280UA (28.2” 3:2) and RD320U and RD320UA ( 31.5” 16:9, with options for fixed and ergonomically adjustable stands.
In the smaller models, 24.1” and 28.2”, the 3:2 and 16:10 aspect ratios are designed to develop productivity, accommodating more lines of code vertically, while the 16:9 format of 31.5” models offer ample screen real estate for large amounts of complex content.
The RD Series also features default KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) and Multi-Stream Transport technology, which allows users to daisy-chain multiple extended displays from a single USB-C port, while Display Pilot 2 software includes self-defined shortcuts , desktop partition, application mode, software dimming, circadian mode and more.
In short, the new BenQ monitors confirm with their characteristics the company’s commitment to promoting comfort and productivity as well as the quality of work and life, being constructively based on recycled materials and a highly energy efficient design, fundamental to sustainability and eco-friendly practices in product development, which have always been cornerstones of BenQ’s thinking.
