- Enhancements: API for a control and monitoring through third-party hardware and software, and audio enhancement for Stem Ceiling:
The new API allows Stem devices to be controlled and monitored by third-party hardware and software. Users can adapt API to control volume or mute functions, monitor device and system status, audio usage, and query the system for useful information such as serial numbers and room name.
While Stem has the control and monitoring functions built into the ecosystem platform, API allows users to monitor Stem devices along with other objects that may be present in the room, such as displays, projectors, lights, panels, etc., all through a single window.

- Enhancements: IP link-local address:
In installations where Stem Ecosystem is operated with a separate network, i.e., without having access to the DHCP server for automatic IP address management, the device will self-assign an IP link-local address and can operate as a system, only with a PoE switch.
The manual IP function has been improved. Users no longer need a DHCP server to assign IP addresses manually.
This update is suitable for customers who prefer to keep AV systems off the corporate network. Users do not need to manually assign IP addresses or think about IP address conflicts. If a DHCP server is available, devices will get a new IP address from the server while the system audio remains active.
Stem Firmware 2.6
- Enhancements: Speaker Coverage function for Room Design Tool and enhanced mute synchronization functionality.
The StemRoom Design tool, which can be accessed through the ecosystem platform and individually through the Shure website, has been updated to include the Speaker Coverage feature and can now show speaker coverage for each Stem device, including Stem, Wall, and Table. In addition, the update improves mute synchronization functionality for Microsoft Teams and other conferencing codecs, as well as on-screen mute and volume control buttons for Stem Control and Stem apps on Android and iPhone.
