Over 700 companies and more than 45,000 visitors for the synergy between Smart Building Expo, Sicurezza and Made Expo during the past 22, 23 and 24 November. The Systems Integration market was also present with the dedicated AV Playground project, animated by Connessioni.
The three events, held at the same time, provided a 360-degree view of materials, technologies and regulations for the building and urban environment, attracting a large, curious and active audience, well beyond the expectations of the organisers. AV Playground was part of Smart Building Expo, the thematic area dedicated to system integration and supported by some of the most important companies in the industry: d&b audiotechnik, Euromet, Intermark Sistemi, Link on Air and Prase Media Technologies, and with the support of the international association AVIXA.
The area, both real and ideal, hosted both closed-door seminars (Sharing projects, not spaces. The design of multimedia environments for study and work) as well as workshops on the application of AV technologies for designers and conducted by architects and designers (Nicola Lancetti for museums and retail spaces, architect Erika Sanson for lighting in yachting and wellness, virtual environment expert Luca Sancricca for the design of spaces in VR/AR/XR); the AV workshop for the IT world, held by AVIXA thanks to the expertise of the Italian Advisory Group, was also very well attended. All this took place in the AV Playground, an open area, free to use, perfect for meetings and equipped with a first-rate presentation and sound diffusion system, obtained from the integration of solutions (by WhatWeAre) made available by the sponsoring companies.
Enthusiasm from the exhibitors, who returned to the in-person activities of presenting products and networking, so useful for the new contacts: “Finally, after two years of absence from in-person events, we are here. – said Mario Baratto, Sales Manager at Prase Media Technologies – Attendance was very active and this gives us hope for a better future than the last two years.” “Being able to take part in a trade fair with such a large number of visitors is a boost and a new start for all of us, as a company but above all as a sector,” added Fabio Concezzi, Managing Director of Intermark Sistemi.
Alongside the wide range of solutions in all areas of the building world, organised by the exhibiting companies at the three events, there were more than 150 training sessions: from sustainability to cyber security, including professional certification, regulations, the evolution of the smart city and topics linked to incentives, super bonuses and concessions. All the appointments confirmed the role of the exhibition as a business opportunity, but also as a training hub capable of interpreting the evolution of the market. “It was an anything but predictable success with significant numbers,” declared Luca Baldin, event manager of SMART BUILDING EXPO, “our exhibition are a fundamental element in the integrated offer that sees us side by side with MADE Expo and SICUREZZA. Today, with confirmation that we will be taking place at the same time in 2023, we can say without fear that we have created the reference event at national level, and one of the main ones at international level, for innovation in construction and our cities, in other words one of the strategic areas of development for the coming decades”.
Appointment then in Milan from 15 to 17 November 2023 with the next edition of SMART BUILDING EXPO, always in the extraordinary contemporaneity with SICUREZZA and MADE EXPO.
