The first ceiling array that integrates microphone, speaker and Intellimix DSP.
Shure has announced the launch of the Microflex® Advance™ MXA902 conference ceiling array microphone, the world’s first conference ceiling array microphone with integrated speaker and IntelliMix® DSP, designed for small and medium-sized meeting room applications. Since 2016, Shure’s Microflex Advance ceiling, wall, and tabletop microphones have been the first choice for AV conferencing applications. Following the launch of the MXA920 ceiling array microphone in 2022, Shure is expanding its Microflex® Ecosystem portfolio with a bold new audio solution for meeting rooms that offers microphone, speaker, and DSP technology in a single device.
In today’s dynamic work environment, IT managers and AV professionals are looking for a reliable audio solution that is easy to set up and ready to use, enabling them to efficiently transform any small to medium-sized room into a fair meeting space. The MXA902 is a complete ceiling-mounted audio solution for AV conferences, ideal for delivering high-quality audio capture and playback with minimal setup. Consisting of a state-of-the-art array microphone for improved directional voice capture and a built-in wide-dispersion speaker for natural speech reproduction, users will experience the ultimate combination of superior sound quality and simplified implementation. The built-in IntelliMix DSP applies automatic mixing, echo cancellation, noise reduction, and automatic gain control for a pristine audio mix.
“Most conference rooms and meeting spaces no longer meet the needs of modern professionals,” said Evan Groom, Conferencing Product Manager, at Shure.
“Employees are more demanding than ever and are choosing to meet in spaces that best support hybrid collaboration through offices equipped with flexible and effective technology. MXA902 is a solution that offers the best audio capture and playback technology for all users in the room.
With the microphone, speaker, and DSP all in one device, the MXA902 helps enhance the overall room design, creating an elegant and refined meeting environment without extension microphones and extra cables-a win for end users and a win for IT and installation professionals.”
Superior audio quality and control
MAX902 is designed with Single Zone Automatic Coverage™ technology that features 20’x20′ coverage, needs minimal configuration, picking up only the person or persons speaking to the exclusion of other unwanted noise in the room. A next-generation array with an architecture that ensures full-range, coherent speech pickup with directional performance even at the lowest frequencies. This is coupled with a high-quality speaker with a 2.5″ dispersion angle. Shure’s new all-in-one is equipped with IntelliMix DSP, which takes advantage of automatic gain control, acoustic echo cancellation, noise reduction and automatic mixing to deliver clear, crisp sound to all meeting participants in the room and remotely.
Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms Certified
To ensure a smooth collaboration experience, MXA902 is officially Microsoft Teams and Zoom Rooms certified when coupled with USB Audio Network Interface with Matrix Mixing (ANIUSB-MATRIX). This combination has undergone rigorous testing in both laboratory and real-world usage environments.
Premium Security
Shure recognizes that communicating with security is important for organizations that install such sophisticated audio equipment, which is why the MXA902 was built with Shure Audio Encryption. This ensures that audio content is protected between all devices, giving customers peace of mind when it comes to respecting confidentiality.
Easy to install (for real)
MXA902 was created for IT managers and AV professionals of all experience levels, making it ideal for anyone looking for an easy-to-install Microflex Ecosystem solution for small to medium-sized meeting rooms. The MXA902 is compatible with the MXA900 series accessory kits, offering a simplified mounting system suitable for different types of suspended ceiling, interlocking ceiling, pole or wire cable. A sleek, white (and paintable) industrial design fits most of the architectural requirements of today’s meeting rooms, so installers need not worry about making additional aesthetic changes.
