From product to solution, from solution to service: the rebranding journey today touches, concretely, also Kramer’s technologies and proposals. We saw them on stage at ISE 2023, where we met Massimiliano Serù, Sales Manager of Kramer Italy.
What’s new in terms of partnerships, products and solutions for collaboration and the new “hybrid” normality we delved into during the international press conference, together with Kramer CEO Gilad Yron. Then, as per ISE tradition, we could not miss a chat with Italian Sales Manager Massimiliano Serù, who told us about the most interesting trends for 2023.

“Among the news of this edition is definitely the launch of Kramer Service,” he explains, “an entirely new support program for system integrators that goes beyond the technical and project hardware side. In fact, depending on the knowledge and needs of the professional, different levels of intervention can be activated, not necessarily by signing a contract but also on call. This is always with a view to facilitating the design and operation of our partners, to support them in particular settings and to increase their business potential in any case.” In fact, customer service includes actions tailored to each stage of AV development, from design to installation, configuration and commissioning of the system. All the way to troubleshooting, extended warranties and professional training.
On the AV solutions front-as we know, Kramer has long stopped talking about products-here are updates in terms of flexibility and customization of QuickLaunch. Indeed, the video conferencing platform management software has landed at ISE 2023 with QuickLaunch Edu, a simple and secure dedicated teaching solution. Indeed, the intuitive interface provides access to all teaching tools and lesson plan information and can also be used with Zoom services. Equally popular with the ISE audience was the KDS-100 proposal, a complete AVoIP streaming solution for 1GE (1Gbps) networks that leverages the open H.264/265 standard. Kramer KDS-100 is ideal for any situation that requires low-latency, high-quality video presentation up to 4K60. We are talking, for example, about operating rooms, university auditoriums, and highly secure control centers. Because of its minimal bandwidth, the KDS-100 can be deployed on existing infrastructure, resulting in significant cost savings for both end users and integrators. The last and historic piece of collaboration according to Kramer is the USB-C world. In fact, the premium Connect USB-C range includes passive, active and AOC (hybrid) cables up to 50 m long, offering long-distance transmission of 4K60 video and 10 Gbps data, 60W charging, Ethernet over USB-C and other features.
We conclude our visit with a nod to the three “integrated” rooms of Kramer’s booth. “A real treat for the professionals and end customers present at the fair,” adds Massimiliano Serù. We made real and fully functional applications, quite different from the demo room concept. Normally, in fact, a mini system or a part of the system is put on display, while here we have three complete AV environments: a meeting room, a courtroom and an educational classroom. Being able to see and touch them can only benefit the business of all our partners and potential ones.”
