LG Electronics has renewed the TV range of the Olbia’s Doubletree, the prestigious hotel of the Hilton group that has chosen the models of the LG LV761H series, integrating them with the Pro:Centric Direct platform for managing communications to guests.
In the hospitality sector, customer experience is a fundamental factor, and technology can be a valid ally as well as a discriminating one. TV in the rooms is obviously a must. Not limited to offering entertainment, nowadays the TV can also be an information device on the hospitality services of the entire structure.
The Doubletree of Olbia is a modern conference hotel of the Hilton group, and has chosen the equipment of the Business Solutions division by LG Electronics to renovate its TV park and implement a management system and one-way communication to the rooms.
The TV fleet was renewed by the system integrator Hoist Group. The request of the hotel structure arose from the need to replace the now obsolete screens with solutions that were able not only to offer an appealing visual experience, but to allow hotel managers to communicate with guests in an exclusive and personalized way by creating special content for each room.
Therefore, we have installed 134 49” LG TVs of the LV761H series, which offer advanced communication technology but, at the same time, can be used in a simple way with an intuitive graphic interface. The models of the LV761H series, in fact, are compatible with the features of Pro:Centric Direct, a solution dedicated to hôtellerie professionals capable of transforming the TVs of their facilities into interactive tools.
Let’s take a look at this advanced management platform. It allows the profiled configuration of the channels, the proposal of customized content and direct communication with its guests, as well as simplifying the programming of the user interface (UI) of the hotel TVs and providing various other services, such as remote management based on IP network. The system has pre-set contents but also offers simple tools for creating customized templates. The operators can thus customize and create their content, so that they adapt to the needs of their guests. Communications can also be managed in “group mode”, thus offering an interesting option in the case of conferences or organized holidays.
Another noteworthy feature is the possibility of remote management of the system, which allows workers to configure the channels visible from a certain room depending on the type of guest. Each request from the rooms can be monitored and managed via the control center for real-time response.
Hoist Group and LG Electronics have worked together to define the customizations needed to align the interface with Hilton’s standards and corporate image, creating a menu and a series of slide shows to illustrate the hotel services. The services implemented included in particular the screen mirroring on TV of the contents transmitted by the guests’ devices, in addition to a reorganization and expansion of the mix of available channels to meet the requests, in particular, of foreign customers.
