In fact, due to the extremely high cost of offshore personnel and the limited number of people allowed on a platform for safety reasons, it’s necessary that several computers are accessible both from a server room located on land and from different control rooms in different locations, close to the production plants. Dual View KVM Extender KE6940 makes the full control of a computer located on an offshore platform possible from a control room, and also supports dual console operation, allowing you to control the system from both the transmitter and the receiver. The AES-128BITS encryption guarantees the security of data transmission, but the extender also supports the authentication of remote users, offering visibility into all active users. Furthermore, all ATEN KE models have redundant power & LAN, very important features in this type of installation.
Finally, it’s impossible not to mention CCKM, ATEN’s KE management software. A very important element, because reliability is a fundamental factor in the management of offshore platforms, and a secure and foolproof software solution is a guarantee.
