The key word is “pleasure”: a luxurious hotel located in the South of France, Château Capitoul offers different types of “pleasure” for its guests, alluring all senses, including hearing, thanks to a system by LD Systems
Brand of Adam Hall Group, LD Systems is known for the many prestigious installations around the world made thanks to its products, well known to system integrators and designers. Nestled in lush countryside and surrounded by 200 hectares of vineyards on a hill in the Languedoc, the Château Capitoul is a luxurious spa hotel that combines the regional authenticity of a winery with elegant settings available to guests, including conference rooms and several villas scattered throughout the territory.
The Capitoul also has a gourmet restaurant, with a charming Mediterranean-style terrace that allows you to enjoy a very sweet horizon, in full French “Art de vivre” style. The pleasures of a stay at this property, however, are not just about taste and sight, but also about hearing. In fact, in the two conference rooms of the Château Capitoul, audio diffusion is guaranteed by the LD Systems CURV 500 modular system and by the thin LD Systems SAT 262 G2 wall-mounted loudspeakers. In addition, the modern installation speakers of the DQOR series, together with the integrated speakers of the CONTRACTOR series, are the ideal accompaniment, in the restaurant and terrace area, for gastronomic pleasure.
LD Systems was chosen by the integrator POLY SON, based in the nearby city of Béziers: “Only components that meet the highest visual and sound requirements are suitable for a luxury venue”, said CEO Arnaud Herail. “Furthermore” – he concluded – “especially for the terrace, the IP55 certification of the DQOR 5 speakers is an essential prerequisite.”
But let’s start with the conference rooms. In the larger of the two rooms, six white CURV 500 duplex satellites from LD Systems are used in two clusters on white SmartLink CURV 500 adapters. With their WaveAhead technology for detailed reproduction, the duplex satellites offer excellent speech intelligibility, a basic feature in a conference room. For the bass, POLY SON has chosen two white CURV 500 I SUB installation subwoofers, with definition in the range from 47 to 150 Hz. The whole system is driven by LD Systems CURV 500 I AMP, specially developed for CURV-based systems. 500. The 19” four-channel power amplifiers – with DSP control and 240 watts of RMS at 4 Ohms – provide enough power reserves even for continuous use. For the speakers, there are two LD WIN 42 HHD 2 Dual wireless microphone systems, which provide two dynamic microphones each, for a total of four people who can speak at the same time.
The smaller conference room is equipped with identical wireless systems; the only difference is that, in addition to the CURV 500 I SUB, two LD Systems SAT 262 G2 two-way passive installation loudspeakers are used here, with a slim and linear design that integrates perfectly into the environment and guarantees excellent sound quality sound.
And we come to the restaurant and the adjacent terrace. Here POLY SON has relied on ten LD Systems DQOR installation loudspeakers, which harmoniously integrate into the luminous design of the surrounding environment. On the outside, DQOR systems are also distinguished by IP55 certification, with front grilles in corrosion-resistant aluminum and weather-resistant coated paper membranes.
The system is completed by 22 frameless CONTRACTOR CFL 62 100 V integrated loudspeakers, painted for the occasion in the same color as the ceiling. The nearly flush front grilles with magnetic brackets cover the 6.5” woofers and 1,2” tweeters of 100 V systems, which provide clear sound and high speech intelligibility. Sufficient power reserves to drive the 22 speakers are provided by the four-channel IPA 424 T DSP installation amplifier. LD Systems is a brand of the Adam Hall Group.
