Innovative startup with offices in Livorno and Florence, ReQurv could not miss Didacta 2024: its original proposal to apply Artificial Intelligence to the world of school has attracted great interest
Developing Artificial Intelligence applications and reducing school dropout: these are the declared objectives of ReQurv, a brilliant startup with which Administrator, Claudio Pacini, we had the opportunity to speak on the occasion of Didacta 2024.
C – Can you briefly introduce your company?
CP – Gladly. ReQurv is an innovative startup that deals with Artificial Intelligence. Our goal is to reduce school dropout, one of the main negative factors in our schools. It is no coincidence that there is a branch of the PNRR linked to this objective, with dedicated funds.
C – What did you present at Didacta this year?
CP – In particular, we focused on Edu[IA], the application we developed to support students on the one hand in preparing, reviewing and studying topics in greater depth, and on the other hand professors, who can keep the problems of the individual student under control, create and correct homework, as well as organize school and teaching material.
C – How does the system work?
CP – Edu[IA] is a mobile application with a very easy to use graphical interface, in two versions: orange for students, blue for professors. The professor can consult the classes and the activities carried out, as with a normal electronic register, even if ours is based on Artificial Intelligence, and can set tasks, checks and corrections, as well as upload teaching material. The student, however, can request teaching material or additional explanations directly from the app. The interface is a chat with Artificial Intelligence, which however does not directly solve problems, in short, it does not act on behalf of the student, but rather provides detailed explanations, as if the students were actually speaking to the professor.
C – Is this a closed tool or is it open to implementations and customizations?
CP – We can absolutely also act on the software and implement it, even the internal functionalities can be expanded upon request. The data all remains on Italian territory, we do not use external companies or servers. The experimentation will start in May for the next school year, in Sicily. We have also had requests here at Didacta, we will also be at Didacta Puglia and interest and requests have also arrived from Lombardy.
C – Do you only deal with Educational or do you also develop apps for other sectors?
CP – We also work for corporate training, with software capable of automatically creating training plans, and we have also developed simultaneous translation software, also useful for workers who do not speak Italian fluently.
C – How did the fair go?
CP – Very well, we also held a speech on the first day, which many signed up for, and in general we found an excellent success for our proposals.
