That of 2019 will be remembered as a very important ISE edition for Bose Professional: more than forty new products presented, covering the entire audio chain, and a global expansion of the company in various sectors
Paolo D’Innocenzo, Sales Manager of Bose Professional, has no doubts: “This fair marks a turning point for us because it’s the first time that we present 42 new products in a single edition of ISE, and we are talking about products that cover the whole audio chain: processors, amplifiers and speakers.” Tuesday, February 5th, in fact, Bose organized a specific presentation for a whole series of novelties, at the Novotel, not far from the RAI Amsterdam exhibition center. The event allowed us to speak with the Product Specialist Andy Kytem, for the installation part, and with Trevor Donarski, Product Line Manager Software and DSP, for the electronics.

But that’s not all: “Strengthening our core business is the first requirement” – continued Paolo D’Innocenzo – “but we also need to open up new markets. We have also launched new products for the Conference, with new expansions for our processors. It’s the first year in which the company expands in various sectors. In this sense, Integrated Systems Europe was the best possible calling card for our customers, to better communicate that we are giving continuity to the work undertaken in recent years.”

So, let’s take a look at the main innovations, many of which concern product design, significantly improved and modernized. Starting from the DesignMax loudspeakers for commercial installations, twelve models ranging from 2” driver low profile to 8” high SPL compression drivers. The design is particularly appealing, with elegant form factor, minimum-bezel magnetic grilles available in black or white, and removable logos. Patented QuickHold mounting system reduces installation time.

Also noteworthy are the PowerSpace and PowerSpace + series, versatile amplifiers with new options for premium commercial applications. PowerSpace offers two models of 150 or 300 watts per channel, SmartBass processing, routing, level control, delays and Bose equalizers. Instead, the PowerSpace + series, with integrated DSP, provides multiple models of 1000, 600 or 300 watts per channel, to accommodate a wide range of installations, with Bose AmpLink input for simplified multichannel digital audio connection, and load-independent outputs providing the full channel power to either low-impedance (4-8 Ω) or high-impedance (70/100V) loads without bridging.

Another big news is Bose’s entry into the sport enviromnent, with the new ArenaMatches DeltaQ array and the ArenaMatch Utility loudspeakers. Featuring an IP55 weather rating, ArenaMatch DeltaQ array modules deliver sound quality and flexibility to outdoor installations — sports stadiums, arenas, outdoor entertainment centers, and more. Nine coverage patterns are available. Choose from modules with 10°, 20°, or 40° vertical coverage and easily swap between 60°, 80°, or 100° horizontal waveguides.
Built for zone-fill coverage or high-SPL foreground music, Bose ArenaMatch Utility loudspeakers feature similar tonal balance to ArenaMatch array modules — and the same EMB2S compression driver — but in compact designs.
Finally, ISE 2019 also saw the expansion of the ControlSpace EX line, with the presentation of two new ControlSpace processors optimized for conference rooms – EX-440C and EX-12AEC – and a new DSP with high performance: EX-1280C.

Paolo D’Innocenzo concluded: “The event was a great success for us, with more than 750 customers in two days. This year the whole company, both the American and the European part, worked in synergy with the aim of making a qualitative leap. We built a bigger stand, the idea was to mark a turning point in terms of impact and communication. The big news, in my opinion, was our entry into the world of fixed installations in sports. We have launched the message that Bose not only defends the core business, but extends its horizons.”
