A renewal that is also a relaunch, that QSC has made for its historic K series of loudspeakers. The new K.2 active models resume the already known quality of the predecessors, adding features and functionality
QSC launched the new K.2 Series, which renews the well-known K-Series speaker line. The new series consists of three full-range models: K8.2 (8”), K10.2 (10”) and K12.2 (12”). QSC also announces this summer KS212C, a new active cardioid subwoofer. But let’s start with the new highly anticipated K.2 models.
Each speaker contains a 2000-watt amplification module, differently split for the required power for high-performance woofer and compression drivers. The Directivity-Matched Transition system (DMT) ensures coverage throughout the listening area. DSP On-board is equipped with QSC Intrinsic Correction technology and an advanced management system to further optimize performance.
Interesting is the wide preset library offered by these new speakers for the most common applications: Stage Monitor, Dance Music, Musical Instrument Enhancement and Handheld Microphones. All three models can be used both as main PA and as floor monitors. In addition, each module can be suspended, mounted on a wall or truss, or on a tripod with two different inclination possibilities or 0 degrees or with a tilt of 7.5 degrees downwards thanks to the new “dual pole” system.
The new KS212C cardioid subwoofer is fully compatible with both the new K.2 series and the K Series models, and is able to provide all the benefits of a cardioid configuration of a subwoofer array in a single compact module. Ideal for traveling performances, AV and rental productions, as well as for medium-to-small locations, the KS212C subwoofer shines in particular for the ability to handle low frequencies on a stage. The sub has two 12” long hiking drivers, arranged in a special “bandwidth” system powered by a 3,600 watt amplifier, resulting in a rear dimming of 15 dB. The KS212C also comes with an on-board DSP that allows you to recall pre-programmed scenes or user-configured scenes through the control panel and the LCD screen.
The warranty for the new K.2 series, such as the KS212C subwoofer, is six years, after product registration.
The K.2 series is already available in Italy, while the KS212C subwoofer will arrive at the end of August.
