Cabling and management of meeting rooms, with the specialised advice of the Vivolink team: at stand 3K910 we met Katia Gomareschi, who told us about the novelties and trends of the moment, which mainly concern the USB-C world.
As far as cabling is concerned, focus first on the new Touch Screen Cables and Optic USB-C cables for AV applications. As well as long USB-C cables and USB-C Power Injector w/100W Charge port. In particular, Katia Gomareschi, Sales Manager, Private Label at EET, focuses on touch screen applications, borrowed from the world of education but increasingly popular in business contexts as well. “The real new entry are these cables patented precisely to facilitate collaboration in next-generation meeting rooms equipped with touch screens,’ she explains. ‘From tablets or PCs with USB-C we connect to HDMI monitors, with a range of up to 10 metres. In Q2, a version with the USB-C female in the connector part on the touch screen will also arrive. This way, by connecting a USB-C cable, you will also be able to charge a device’.
Another interesting proposition is the wireless HDMI or wireless USB-C solution that transmits data, in these two formats, up to 20 metres. “The possibility of extending wireless transmission is highly appreciated by end customers and architects working in medium-sized workspaces, because it can cover the entire room, eliminating the need for ‘flying’ and aesthetically unpleasant cables”, she adds.
Corporate and educational integration
Moving to the other side of the stand, there is the DUO True one-cable-connect, ideal for connecting several devices, including PTZ cameras in meeting rooms and video conferences with two screens. “These innovations are primarily aimed at the corporate market, but we are also pleased to see their application in education, especially in Italian universities,” says Katia Gomareschi. Finally, a mention to the audio side, adequately represented by the 50W + 2x25W active subwoofers and the KVM seamless 18G 4×2 USB-C multiview matrix, which enrich Vivolink’s matrix and extender proposal.
The key is in the advice
Technology is advancing, but that is not all. In fact, Italian integrators and technicians are showing a preference for Vivolink’s consultative, project-oriented approach. That is, the ability to go beyond simply providing cables, hubs and other devices, and instead help professionals create a beautiful, high-performance and reliable meeting room. Thus building customer loyalty and creating a path of synergetic growth with them.
