Returning from a year of international commitments and countless training events, Paso recently presented a renewed range of versatile voice evacuation systems suitable for the most varied applications, PAW5500-VES and PAW51K-VES, and modular amplifiers with innovative features. Let’s see them together.
PASO meets the needs of the EVAC world with two new voice evacuation systems called PAW5500-VES and PAW51K-VES: ideal for installations ranging from small to spaces to very frequented environments, and which winks at the particular sound diffusion needs of shops and shopping centers, where pleasant listening and intelligibility play a crucial role not only in safety, but also in psychological involvement, acoustic comfort and motivation to buy.
PAW5500-VES and PAW51K-VES are two “brothers” systems, which allow a wide range of applications thanks to the rated power, and the related manageable alarm zones.
The PAW 5500-VES range includes three voice evacuation systems – all with a power output of up to 500 W – capable of supporting two, four or six alarm zones. Its big brother, PAW51K-VES, doubles its rated power output, with two 1000 watt evacuation systems capable of handling four and six alarm zones. From the safety standpoint, these systems are specially designed for wall mounting and are equipped with a certified control unit in accordance with EN 54-16:2008.
What really makes these systems “smart” – in addition to the possibility of connecting them with other PAW systems through the dual line LINK – is their ability to interface with other multimedia devices: the SD card reader allows you to play audio files in .mp3 format from common memory cards, while a USB input allows you to connect any external device (such as a mobile phone, mp3 player, or hard disk) for music streaming. Both systems can be controlled through a 4.3″ backlit touch-screen display, which allows you to configure the devices, adjust the alarm zones and check for faults or malfunctions. The independent three-band equalizer for each alarm zone and the possibility to broadcast pre-recorded emergency messages also ensure maximum customisation of the system, which can also be managed remotely through a dedicated App that can be downloaded from the most popular digital stores.
On the amplification side, the Paso engineers have used GAN to create a new series of modular amplifiers in class “D”. An innovation that is already opening new frontiers to the world of audio design and beyond; this new technology allows to create ‘cascode’ circuits that, for the extreme speed and the simplicity of piloting, far exceed the performance provided by the silicon technology.
Applied to the audio world, this solution makes it possible to produce compact but very powerful amplifiers, such as the new 1000-V PMG. These modular amplifiers in class “D” are also equipped with a double output circuit with separate control (A and B); a redundant solution that, in case of a short circuit with just one line, automatically disconnects it to allow the operation of the other.
Inside each PMG 1000 there are four amplifiers capable of delivering 250W of power each and, if connected to the CR8506-V controller via CAT5 shielded cable, they can reach high power areas.
