The last months of 2021 and first months of 2022 have brought great changes within Paso: the natural generational change and several new figures in as many key roles in the company. Here below an introduction the newcomers.
In racing, even when a close-hauled edge is favourable, there comes always a time when it is necessary to change pace to turn around the mark. This is Paso‘s case: the historic company on the Italian scene, accustomed to maintaining stable and long-lasting relationships with collaborators, have had to support the need for a generational change due to retirement. Between the end of 2021 and the beginning of 2022, Paso therefore said goodbye to five employees, all in key positions, to then welcome as many new collaborators: a change in faces, ways and habits. We present them to you, through their words.
R&D: together for the future
Let’s start with Stefano Nardo who, with plenty of experience in designing as an electronic engineer, deals with the development of new products and the updating of those already in the catalogue. His passion? Always create new ones, which can then meet the needs of customers and play an innovative role in their orders. Stefano arrived bringing with him all his enthusiasm in facing new challenges. Enthusiasm shared with Maurizio Colmone, whose great satisfaction is being able to put inventiveness and new “ingredients” into the projects. Taking care of the “concrete” side of the products, designing, researching and coordinating their production, but also listening to customers – through the inputs that come from colleagues in the sales department – are other fundamental points in common. Their role requires in fact to be in connection with all the other departments of the company, from the Purchasing Department for the research of components to Quality Control for information on regulations to colleagues in the Laboratory with whom to share documentation and specifications.
To complete the R&D renewal, Fabio Zanin, the youngest of the department, actively contributes with his ideas in the design phases and deals with the development of firmware and hardware, both for new products and for those already in production. His assignment is varied, always dynamic, having to face a great variety of both production problems as well as the customer’s needs. “I am very motivated in contributing to the success of the company, my goal is to push for the design of modern and performing solutions, able to satisfy the future needs of the company and its customers” he tells us with enthusiasm. For everyone, Paso is a constantly evolving company: they are all eager to contribute to this process by expanding the product range, exploring new markets and seizing every opportunity.
Purchasing and Sales: optimise, connect and innovate
We now meet Ylenia Santamaria who, with a decade of experience in other purchasing departments, believes that at this moment this is a fundamental role for companies: the problems of supply and availability of materials and components are well known, and her work is in optimising methods and costs while maintaining quality. She interacts with all departments, as the purchasing department provides a starting point for the development of all company gears, as well as maintaining relationships with all external suppliers. Paso greatly appreciates the innovative power and synergy that characterises the approach of all departments, with which she felt involved from the very beginning, and which allowed her to immediately feel like an active part of company life.
We conclude with the lively Arianna Canepari, happy with her role in the Italian Sales Office, which gives her the opportunity to establish fruitful relationships with people, which is very important to her. In her work, she interfaces a little with everyone in the company, and her goal is to support the entire sales process, from the moment the product leaves production to its delivery to the customer. In addition, she has a real passion for innovation, and she is trying to lend a hand to update and optimise some processes in the office, digitising and eliminating redundant paper and steps: the market today requires a great speed of execution. “Respecting what has been built in the past, trying to bring your contribution, building peaceful relationships with everyone to work at your best” added Arianna with awareness.
