In its 50th anniversary year, Paso, a leader in emergency safety and sound evacuation solutions, looks back on its alliances and collaborations with its partners and distributors; here, taken from the company’s website, is a presentation of its longest-standing partners.

Paso is an innovative company in its proposals to the market, in technologies as in constructive choices and customer support, but equally traditional in understanding partnerships. Our collaborations are long-standing, in Europe but also in the East and Middle East. And, like all good stories, let’s start by respecting the chronology.
Red Star Sound Systems, based in Ter Aar and just few miles away from Amsterdam in the Netherlands, is a historic company focused on the 100 V market and strongly linked to its territory. Our partnership takes us back to 1973, the year Paso was founded. The collaboration has therefore continued throughout the history of Paso, with the continued passion and dedication to their objectives and working methods that have always characterised the two companies in their (almost) half-century of partnership.
If we go further north, we’ll find Avalarm, a company specialised in audio and video solutions. Security is one of the areas of greatest interest for this company with offices in Ilmajoki, in South West Finland. A reality that has always been attentive to the market of EN-54-certified solutions, in affinity with the Scandinavian country’s historic attention to safety standards. Something they have in common with Paso, partners since 1987.
If we then head over to the Bosphorus, we’ll meet Karadag Elektronik, a group of companies based in Istanbul, one of the largest system integrators in Turkey and always attentive to ELV& 100 V applications. This collaboration dates back to 1993, and over time it has developed in the field of customisation of Paso solutions, leading up to a progressive interest in our most recent Voice Alarm solutions.
Z-Audio, based in Schickmattweg a small town not far from Zurich in German-speaking Switzerland, was founded in 1988 and has been partnered with Paso since 1994. It is dedicated to the distribution of audio and video solutions with strong internal skills related to the design and consultancy in the pre-sale phases, with careful assistance after installation. The generational change in Z-Audio has strengthened the relationship between the two companies, so much so that the Security trend is becoming more and more important and is now a vital part of the dynamics of the company. All thanks to Paso solutions!
Looking East we meet Iberi, active in the Russian territory: value-added distributor of solutions for system integration, from audio to video, to dynamic lighting, with interests both in the world of installations and rental. Iberi has been distributing Paso since 1998, a long period of collaboration corroborated by Paso’s Made in Italy DNA, an element that has always been appreciated in this region, and by this partner.
Going towards Central Asia we find the AL KARAM group, a historic Pakistani company founded in 1948 with headquarters in Rawalpindi Punjab and various branch offices throughout the area. The company specialises in the security field of the Oil & Gas sector, the collaboration with Paso began in 1998 with an immediate interest in conference and congress systems, entirely Made in Italy. Al Karam is currently integrating our voice evacuation solutions into its portfolio, central to Paso’s strategies and equally strategic to the development plans of the Pakistani company.
Returning to Southern Europe, in particular to Spain, to Zaragoza where Egi Audio Solutions is based. The partnership with Paso was signed in 1998 and, since then, the Security trend has always been present in the company, thanks to our solutions.
In the middle East there is the Israeli partner Teletone, a company founded in 1981 and specialised in the distribution and installation of audio solutions in the PA and Security sectors. The collaboration with Paso dates back to 2013 and is part of the evolution of our EN-54 certified range, which integrates perfectly with the rest of Teletone’s portfolio. A very close collaboration: thanks to the high-quality standards and the customisation possibilities of our solutions, Teletone has made Paso one of the major players in Israel, a market very difficult to access due to the high-quality standards and though local certifications requirements.
Landing in the Arabian Peninsula we find Saudi Projects & Supplies; a systems integrator and distributor based in Jeddah, born in 2001 to give effective answers in the Safety & Security and control systems sectors. Active in many vertical markets including Health, Training, Corporate, but also Retail and Government markets. Continuous updating is one of the key elements in SPS. The accuracy and originality of Made in Italy have always made the difference in the relations between SPS and Paso, the partnership began in 2006 for the Public Address area of the company and has consolidated over the years allowing SPS to bring our solutions in prestigious government environments.
We close this review of historical partners with Apace International Electronics (API), which has always been at the forefront of LV (Low Voltage) and ELW (Extra Low Voltage) systems. The company was founded in Abu Dhabi in 2005. Since 2012 it has decided to structure itself with design services and pre- and post-sales assistance, and the collaboration with Paso dates back to 2013.
In the UAE as in Saudi Arabia areas, where Made in Italy is an undisputed value, Paso has been able to make itself known and gain real notoriety in the PA/VA sector of expertise, thanks to its ability to take care of all the production phases, from the product conception to its final production processes all being Made in Italy & In-House.”
