The next issue of Connessioni, currently in production, will feature a special focus on the so-called AV Broadcast, the intersection and dialogue between the Broadcast world and AV technologies, including their methods and market dynamics. Among the main topics, we will explore emerging trends in content production where major brands are taking on the role of broadcasters.
In the first pages of the magazine, you will find an introductory article in which we will attempt to outline the evolution behinf AV Broadcast. This will also serve as a prelude to MAF – Milan Audiovisual Forum – which will take place on October 23 and 24 in Milan. This event, born from the collaboration between Pentastudio, HD Forum, and Fiera Milano, aims to narrate and analyze the technological and market revolution in the world of audiovisual content production and distribution.
In recent days, we interviewed Ciarán Doran from Deep Blue Sapphire Limited, who we had already featured at ISE 2024 as the Coordinator of the Content Production & Distribution Summit. The Summit focused precisely on the major changes in the Broadcast sector. One of the main themes addressed by the Summit, and discussed during the interview, was the evolution in the production world. Increasingly, brands – from the automotive and fashion industries – are becoming true broadcasters, telling stories that highlight and include products which are often not even mentioned by name, yet the audience easily identifies them within the narrative. Doran himself shared an experience of coming across a short film by a whiskey brand, realizing through this encounter an ongoing evolution that is likely to change the game for major production and distribution platforms like Netflix or Prime Video. These are themes that content production professionals cannot afford to ignore.
We will continue to discuss this in Connessioni and, of course, at the next edition of MAF. Read the magazine, and follow the event and the complete program at https://audiovisual.forum/
