Impressions of Simone Madoni, consultant and expert on the market and broadcasting, at the end of the Content Production & Distribution Summit at ISE 2024 – Part one
Why should we be interested in new broadcast? Let’s start here, with how the world of content production is getting closer and closer to our traditional AV Pro sphere of expertise. And what are the current horizons of these technologies, made even more innovative by the evolutionary experiences of the pandemic and the AI.
This and more were discussed at ISE 2024, at the Content Production & Distribution Summit on 31 January, followed for Connessioni by expert Simone Madoni. “I approached this event with a hint of scepticism: the title set on new broadcasting on the one hand intimidated me and on the other intrigued me. I soon realised that the core of this concept lies in the integration of content production and professional audio video”, explains the Connessioni consultant. So, we are talking about high-quality production and hybridisation between events and virtual studios, content that is alive and usable anywhere, on any device and at any time, close collaboration between the management of audiovisual content and technological innovation that enables its production and transmission, with particular focus on IP.
Summit 2024, therefore, highlighted the technologies at the heart of the convergence of AV and broadcasting, exploring how brands and major broadcasters are intensifying their use of virtual studios, augmented reality, streaming and other systems to unleash the power of creativity. Doing so with the confidence that they can work practically, efficiently and economically. “The integration of these two worlds is concretely perceptible in the solutions that the market is proposing, which are increasingly scalable and flexible. Manufacturers and distributors are presenting, also at ISE, all the power of integrated workflows”, Madoni adds. The fact remains that broadcast is configured in this new era as a live production system, which has certainly not changed. But it must be considered as quality live or streaming, highly evolved and supported by integrated and sophisticated AV technologies.
