The Adam Hall Group appears to have captured the spirit of the times with this active column PA system from its brand LD Systems. The combination of state-of-the-art technology, design and exclusive materials bears the hallmark of the design agency Studio F.A. Porsche.
In addition to the international jury’s expert judgement, this year the public also had the opportunity to vote for its favourite in recent weeks. From all of the German Design Award distinctions, users of the Design Explorer mobile app selected the Adam Hall Group with the LD Systems MAUI P900 as winner of the Public’s Choice Award 2018.
When it comes to outstanding design, the iF Design Award is a globally recognised and renowned trademark. Here too, the MAUI P900 impressed the independent international jury of experts in the audio category. The winner of the coveted seal of quality was selected from over 6.400 submissions from 54 countries. The iF Design Award is presented by the world’s oldest independent design institution, iF International Forum Design in Hannover.
At the latest Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade fair in Amsterdam, the NewBay media publications PSNEurope, Audio Media International, Installation and AV Technology Europe presented the NewBay Best of Show Award to the MAUI P900.
Developed in collaboration with Porsche Design Studio, the MAUI P900 is an active 3-way class D system features an impressive 50 neodymium transducers (32 x 1-inch tweeters, 16 x 2.8-inch woofers, 2 x 10-inch subwoofers) utilising WaveAhead technology and the innovative SonicGuide design principle, which guides the sound waves from the tweeters and woofers for a natural sound reproduction over a wide frequency range of 42 Hz to 20 kHz.
The MAUI P900 is expected to be available from the end of May 2018.
