Audio Effetti introduces MOJO2200curve, one of Audiophony’s highest-performance PA systems designed to provide optimized sound propagation at high SPL levels (128 dB) while maintaining dimensions compact enough to make it easily transportable. Based on curve array technology, MOJO2200curve consists of a satellite and an active subwoofer with a 12″ driver, controlled by DSP. It was born as a mono system, but thanks to True Wireless Stereo it can transmit the audio signal, without any physical wiring, to a second identical MOJO to turn it into a stereo system that can please even the most demanding palates! Because of its features, MOJO2200curve is suitable for DJ sets, live music and live stages in clubs or for outdoor performances, musical events, garden or pool parties, gyms, and sports use. The usage possibilities of MOJO2200curve have limits only in your imagination!
Curve arrays, the sound system that solves many sound problems
Arrays are loudspeakers consisting of a number of identical, vertically stacked and aligned loudspeakers that operate as a single sound source by summing their emissions coherently. The vertical coupling of the modules generates cylindrical, rather than spherical, waves that travel much greater distances, with the advantage that the sound pressure loss is 3 dB at a doubling of the distance from the source, instead of 6 dB in traditional point source systems. Whereas line arrays are designed to provide a very narrow vertical dispersion (aperture), which is useful for focusing sound on the audience without wasting energy to the ceiling/ceiling or floor, curve arrays are designed with the bottom gradually sloping downward to provide extra coverage for nearby listeners. This achieves a good compromise between the long-throw straight-line component for relatively distant audiences with the lower part acting as fill, just as is the case with MOJO2200curve satellites. The latter, while not physically made up of separate modules that are hooked together as in the large J arrays used in concerts, consist of three portions that each employ a 5″ mid-bass driver and 3 1″ tweeters aligned in front of the transducer itself, for a total of 12 drivers. End result? A dispersion of 120° horizontally and 70° vertically, the latter certainly much greater than that of line arrays but more suited to the sound requirements for which this system is intended.
Many useful features
In PA speakers, satellites usually sit on vertical poles that screw onto the subwoofer and use it as a base for support. MOJO2200curve does not escape the rule, but in this case the coupling bar is pneumatic to allow effortless height adjustment and also to provide, thanks to a special connector, audio signal transmission between the satellite and the subwoofer: cables are no longer necessary!
Bass is provided by a powerful 12″ long-throw woofer mounted in a bass-reflex cabinet. The latter houses a 700 W RMS class-D amplifier with protections, a 4-input mixer with Bluetooth TWS, and a DSP that offers the possibility of adjusting sound parameters (four-band equalizer, sub cutoff frequency, delay, etc.) according to your wishes.
You can make MOJO2200curve sound by connecting your smartphone via Bluetooth, or any other media player, to the stereo LINE INPUT, a guitar, dynamic microphone and keyboard. There is also a balanced XLR MIX OUT for another sound system.
And when you have to carry it, the total net weight (satellites + sub) is only 35 kg!
