Dedicated to partners and integrators of its own community, Kickstarter is an initiative of Milestone Systems: a contest aimed at developing innovative projects based on the use of the open software launched by Milestone.
The stated goal is to push partners and integrators to increasingly develop their qualities as innovators to support Milestone in its mission: to build technology for the benefit and protection of people, goods and resources. Milestone Systems has always believed in interaction and collaboration with its partners. For this reason it has decided to create an open software platform, able to integrate and interact with any other type of application, to the advantage of the most disparate vertical sectors including transport, emergency management, traffic monitoring and wildlife observation.
The Kickstarter contest is therefore an interesting opportunity for programmers, developers, companies and freelancers: participating means creating new possible applications and features that can communicate with the VMS XProtect family of products.
Any idea can potentially represent the winning concept: a real integration, a new feature, a widget or a code that extends the use of the VMS. There are also different ways in which the new idea can be proposed: participants will be able to create a visual tool, a trigger from a device, a base for data analysis or information measurement, etc. The only two essential requirements for participation are that the solution is integrated with Milestone XProtect VMS (possibly using SDK MIP) and that the intellectual property of the proposed idea is, indeed, of the competitor in that proposes it.
The three finalists of the contest will receive free admission and a dedicated space in the expo area at the MIPS 2020 (Milestone Integration Platform Symposium), annual event organized by Milestone. On that occasion, the winner will be announced, who will receive a prize worth US $ 65.000.
