From November 13th to 15th 2019 “Milano Smart City Conference” will be held, an international conference dedicated to new technologies and services for the city of the future
Milan confirms itself as a city devoted to the future. The first edition of the international conference “Milano Smart City” will be hosted at Fiera Milano Rho (Hall 6, from 10 am), with the patronage of the Ministry of Economic Development, from November 13th to 15th, dates not chosen at random, since at the same time the important Smart Building Expo and SICUREZZA trade fairs will be held.
The main topics of the conference will be 5G broadband, digital infrastructure, sustainable mobility, innovative logistics and smart sensors. “Milano Smart City Conference” is a high-profile technical-scientific event dedicated to new technologies and services that will be applied in the city of the future, where digitalization, data transmission speed and hi-tech solutions will revolutionize the way of life. Speakers will include some of the leading experts in the smart city sector, who will also present projects and case histories. The program of the “Milano Smart City Conference” provides, in fact, three morning sessions, respectively on “The digital infrastructures of the smart city”, “Solutions for mobility and logistics in the smart city” and “Monitoring and security inthesmart city”. Each session will be followed in the afternoon by an in-depth presentation of case histories and best practices. The congress uses the scientific support of the Ugo Bordoni Foundation. Participation in the conference is free for visitors of Smart Building Expo and SICUREZZA (limited places), upon registration on the Smart Building Italia website.
“This event was born at the end of 2018 from a dialogue with the Ministry of Economic Development, when it was clear by now that the advent of 5G was only a matter of months and that, as demonstrated by the trials in progress, it would have been a definite step for the development of so-called smart cities”, explains Luca Baldin, general manager of Pentastudio, the Vicenza-based company that organizes the event. “We have focused on Milan as a symbolic city of innovation in Italy to reflect on the concept of smart city, but not least to propose concrete and replicable achievements, in such a way as to develop emulation capable of producing widespread innovation.”
