And here we are at the 62nd Salone del Mobile in Milan, which brings with it the Fuorisalone, the more informal exhibition in so many different locations in the main ‘districts’ of Milan, and which many believe is the most interesting and innovative part of Design Week. And where the main examples of the union of design and technology can often be found.
As we do every year, we will visit it and give you our reading in the next issue of the magazine. At the top of the list of “curiosities” to visit, one concrete and one intangible, albeit also very real.
Workplace3.0, at the Salone del Mobile in Rho, proposes a reflection on tech furnishings: which ones help us improve the professional, social and creative experience? Workplace3.0 gives back what the work space is, today, with tomorrow in mind. Founded in 1982 as Eimu and renamed subsequently, it presents itself as a showcase for more than 120 companies offering innovative solutions for modern working environments. Reflecting evolving ways of working and new design requirements, the event adapts to today’s challenges such as globalisation and health emergencies, offering flexible and adaptable solutions for the offices of the future.
Turning to the intangible, the Salone will feature a massive communication campaign as usual, but with a new twist: generative Artificial Intelligence will create a visual narrative to capture the essence of the event and its ability to drive the evolution of design into the future. The AI will interact directly with the design community in Milan, listening and capturing conversations and experiences in real time to convey the spirit of the event. The project is a collaboration between Publicis Groupe and design expert Paolo Ciuccarelli, ensuring an innovative and scientifically informed vision.
Ready? Design Week has just begun, you have time until Sunday.
