Micron brought an innovative metal mesh PCAP multi -touch solution to ISE2023. This solution represents 86 -inch and 75 inch and other size foldable and curved touch display technology.
Micron, as the leading manufacturer of the PCAP metal mesh solution (CU metal mesh), participated in the ISE 2023 which the aim of improving the user experience of extremely wide device now, such as touch monitors for companies, schools, smart city and smart home. In short, the market’s demand for flexible and foldable medium – large touch screens is growing, and traditional touch technology cannot meet the new needs of users, especially for medium and large size. Copper metal mesh PCAP is an alternative technology that meets the needs of customers’ various touch application in work and entertainment. Based on a metal grid built with nano-silver wires, carbon nanotubes and graphene, Metal Mesh seems better suited to address the challenges posed by the need for sustainable and renewable products.
Wire mesh is basically a conductive material that forms an extremely thin metal grid (the width of the grid lines is usually less than 10 μm, practically invisible to the naked eye). This metal grid replaces ITO film in monitors with better conductive effect. Micron’s Cu Metal Mesh technology can achieve ultra-narrow edges, high precision and high efficiency, and has the advantages of light weight, strenght and adaptability. The smallest mesh size available for the grid is 5 μm. For medium and large touch screens and curved surfaces, capacitive technology is the best touch method and Micron’s Cu Metal Mesh is an extremely interesting solution, to discover and try.
