MIBA closed last Friday, bringing to Rho enthusiasm, ideas and perspectives, as well as more than 80,000 attendees from 111 countries for 1,350 exhibitors. While waiting for the official numbers, we would like to thank the speakers and participants of AV Playground, the Connessioni project that contributed with contents and exchanges in bringing the themes of Integration and AV to the show
First of all, I would like to thank the speakers and participants of AV Playground@Smart Building Expo, Connessioni’s project within SBE and MI.BA dedicated to AV and Systems Integration practitioners. In particular, the qualitative contribution and proactive approach of AVIXA Women Council Italy which, with Valeria Rapa, Antonella Terrasi, Giuliana Geronimo, and Viviana Musazzi managed an entire afternoon of round tables, examples of multimedia art, and a Design Workshop that shed light on the processes that lead from the brief to the realisation of an integrated technological system, obviously putting technology at the centre.
Thanks also to Dino Maurizio of Informatici senza Frontiere who, together with Michele Fucci of WhatWeAre, explained how artificial intelligence works and how we can make the best of it, between opportunities and ethics, with a look at our sector.
Among the most interesting insights that emerged from the many interviews, round tables and workshops, an interesting discussion on User Experience with Umbra Control, which proposed a user interface inspired by the world of video games, or the insights on Human Centric Lighting design by Alberto Fabbro, KNX Tutor and designer. Also interesting was the debate with guests Andrea Pepe – Business Development Manager 3G Electronics, Vittorio Dalerci – Project Manager, Videomobile and Salvatore Riontino – Country Manager Italy, Barco on the progressive hybridisation between control rooms and meeting rooms: data are at the heart of many companies’ business, but today in addition to managing and understanding them, there is also a need to share them, discuss them, and make them the subject of meetings.
But the main thanks go to the companies that supported and enabled the project to become a reality: Umbra Control, Matrox Video, Hikvision, Videomobile and Yamaha.
AV Playground@Smart Building Expo took place within the great MI.BA project: the impressive numbers immediately confirmed the event as a international reference point for the building sector, from architecture to technology. Mi.BA also addressed a number of topics that are fundamental for the future of our country, from the contribution of new technologies in the digital and energy transition, to “data driven” buildings and cities, including through Artificial Intelligence, to the digital infrastructure of buildings and new services that are transforming homes into technological hubs. An exciting event to which we are proud to have contributed.
