OMNIS-100 is the name of Helvia’s All-in-One multimedia player characterized by very high flexibility in connection with the outside. The choice of a Latin name, as well as a tribute to Italian culture, which arose from Roman civilisation, has a practical meaning: this player, in fact, supports a very vast range of applications and uses, especially on the audio front. Since “omnis”, in Latin, can be translated as “in all ways”, the main characteristic of this product is already in its name. However, let’s try to delve deeper and go into a little more detail.
Connection and control flexibility
OMNIS-100 is a 43cm wide rack module which occupies, in height, one and a half units (6.8cm) and can be used both in stand alone configuration for Hi-Fi systems and in rack systems.
Equipped with remote connection via wireless network and Bluetooth and multiple physical connection options (USB, LAN, RCA, optical and coaxial audio), OMNIS-100 can be used in multiple applications as a player for audio signals from the most diverse and disparate streaming sources (in particular Web Radio and Spotify). Alternatively, the “BT Audio Streaming” function allows it to connect directly to smartphones, tablets and laptops.
Also equipped with a DAB/DAB+/FM tuner with RDS function for additional information on radio broadcasters, OMNIS-100 has a Wi-Fi antenna included which, as an alternative to the LAN connection, allows it to reproduce audio in streaming even in large environments, with the added benefit of remote control via smartphone or tablet with Android and iOS operating systems (using the UNDOK Android/iOS app). Finally, a further control option is the remote control supplied with each unit.
Ease of use by Helvia
One of the main characteristics of Helvia brand products is ease of use, which is combined with practicality and quality. OMNIS-100 is no exception, with a front panel that offers, for user convenience, a USB port, on/off button, a central 2.4” TFT color display, four setup buttons for using presets and an encoder for menu navigation. In short, even non-expert personnel are able to manage the unit.
The rear panel instead offers all the connections you need, with the typical quality connectors of Helvia products, designed to withstand even intensive use.
The cabinet is characterized by an elegant design accompanied by laser-engraved silk-screen prints. OMNIS-100, ultimately, is a very versatile and extremely useful tool for anyone who needs to manage multiple audio sources in a simple and immediate way, distributing them in various areas.
