A confirmation in the sign of continuity for Masazumi Ishiwata: he will continue to lead the European office of Maxell Ltd, as General Manager
On 1st October 2020 the path that led Maxell Ltd to take on the responsibilities of production and distribution of the visual products of Maxell and Hitachi was successfully completed: Masazumi Ishiwata, who followed all the steps, was confirmed General Manager of Maxell Europe Ltd, guiding the company towards its success in the field of professional video projection.
Masazumi Ishiwata has thirty years of experience in the B2B technology market, especially batteries, with assignments related to sales and management. After being hired in 1991 by Hitachi Maxell Ltd, in 2004 he was transferred to Singapore as Manager at Maxell Pte. In 2004 he moved to the battery division, before taking on the role of General Manager at Maxell Asia Ltd in Hong Kong.
In 2012 he received the important assignment of starting the Shenzhen office, Maxell Trading Co and in 2013/14 he worked as General Manager at Maxell Taiwan Ltd, successfully testing himself in the management of production operations. Between 2014 and 2016 he returned to the battery business, to take up his current position in 2016 and accompany the company on its important path.
This assignment, in the name of continuity, has supported and accompanied the path implemented by Maxell over the last seven years: from 1st October 2020, Maxell‘s Optronic division will assume responsibility for all operations relating to the diffusion of branded projectors on the Maxell and Hitachi European market, and all related accessories. The objective of the operation is the repositioning of the brand and the entry of Maxell Ltd into the global market of professional-grade visual solutions.
Masazumi Ishiwata said: “I am happy to have accompanied the company on this path. In the first period we will respect each other’s business, while in the next phase we will use Maxell‘s advanced technologies – which allow us to produce smaller, lighter and better optical design solutions – to give new impetus to the video projection business. Finally, we will rely on the sales channels of the video projector sector to boost new business.”
