Technology also enhances the visitor experience within exhibition and museum spaces. LG’s Transparent OLED gives people the opportunity to experience art in a whole new way, namely through overlaying digital content on top of ancient objects or artworks behind the display to give a truly interactive experience.
There are several applications of the Transparent OLED for different display areas:
T-Reception: Transparent OLED is used for the information point and shows details such as opening hours, or promotional videos.
Art Wall: This is a digital art wall. While conventional LED screens cover the wall with black screen, this technology integrates smoothly with the wall covering. The screen displays information regarding, exhibitions, convention halls, and promotions. It also consumes much less energy, or one-third, than conventional LED screens.
Sliding T- Docent: inside museum spaces, such as in the presence of murals, Transparent OLED is able to show original historical information on the surface, even if damaged by time. It is also capable of deciphering indecipherable details such as Egyptian hieroglyphics.
Magic T-Walk: makes it possible to display objects placed under a specific installation. If these objects are damaged, Transparent OLED shows the restored version of them above the original version, thus creating a 360-degree immersive experience.
Touch T-Story: suitable for the objects displayed in the showcase, through the touch function and the activation of overlays, which is only possible thanks to Transparent OLEDs, the displayed object and content are customized. In addition, again thanks to the overlay function, by touching the scrolling arrow, you can see the displayed object in 3D mode.
