Kramer’s novelty is the VP-553xl, a dual switcher/scaler capable of reproducing two scaled and independent outputs (with built-in audio) from six inputs: three HDBaseT and three HDMI. This switcher is characterized in particular by the HDMI/HDBaseT output signal mirroring function that, together with the digital source support, offers six analog inputs.
Other interesting features are the independent dual-outputs (HDMI/HDBaseT, with analog input support, and HDMI), as well as the ability to handle digital and analog inputs (HDBaseT, HDMI, VGA, composite video and TP analog input). In addition, Kramer’s advanced Pix-Perfect scaling technology delivers a very precise pixel mapping to increase the reliability and accuracy of the equipment.
The “xl” tag in the product name also indicates improved output stability and optimized performance of the used projector. Finally, the flexible control options (front panel, IR remote control with OSD, ethernet with embedded web pages and RS-232) and the 4×1 USB selector, designed for presentations and Smart Board collaboration, are also worthy of note.
