Not only does the Pinnacle line grow and develop with new interesting products, but also the Vyper line array speaker range unveils a new design that simplifies installation and presents the new one meter version. Both of them will be showcased at ISE 2022!
Stand #7P200 at ISE 2022 will host many innovations in professional audio from K-array. First of all, the brand new Pinnacle series, a distillation of the best features of the K-array speakers: elegant and discreet design, high performance, dynamic excellence and engineering innovation, with the idea of creating a unique sound experience in all applications. Pinnacle is in fact an audio system able to adapt to any space hiding from view but… well audible! The winning weapon of this series is its modular configuration, which easily integrates into any environment. With a large number of units, medium to large events can be served. The Pinnacle-KR2s consist of Kobra columns with 2” transducers, the Pinnacle-KR4s are the result of multiple 3.15” Python combinations and finally the Pinnacle KR8s consist of Kayman columns with 4” transducers. All three models boast Thunder subwoofers in their different variants KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5.
Pinnacle’s design benefits from K-array’s exclusive PAT (Pure Array Technology), which allows the system to achieve maximum diffusion homogeneity without compromising sound quality and naturalness.
The lightweight design deserves particular emphasis, as it allows for easy installation of the systems. Pinnacle also offers a new self-centering system that allows a single person to assemble up to eight units in a short time. The materials used to build the K-array speakers are certainly a distinctive element that makes the products of this brand unique, contributing both to the reduction in size and to a longer life, even in unfavorable weather conditions. The line array elements such as Kobra, Python and Kayman are in fact made of stainless steel sheet cut, folded and welded with the utmost care, with partly handcrafted procedures that allow to minimize unwanted vibrations and resonances. The metal can also be subjected to galvanic treatments for a more luxurious finish such as 24k gold plating, or to processes such as brushing or polishing.
On the control front, a new generation of audio intelligence (osKar) allows you to manage the entire ecosystem through different control platforms and offers new features on board the device. The osKar operating system offers the possibility to control the main functions of the DSP to manage volumes, routing and presets directly from the device, which has a USB reader and a web stream receiver. Remote control of the subwoofers can take place through three different types of software, starting with the more complete K-framework for Windows and Mac, up to an intuitive web app and a further simplified mobile app. “Since the beginning of the Pinnacle project, the engineering of the series has been a challenge to ourselves to innovate and obtain a next generation high performance portable speaker” – said Nicola Pieri, Director of K-array’s R&D. “The Pinnacle range is completely new, in every detail, from the mounting system to the connectors and control systems”.
An important novelty, also signed by K-array, concerns the new design of the Vyper series speakers, which facilitates installation, as well as the new one-meter version, which expands the family by extending its application possibilities. The Vypers are the most discreet speakers in the K-array catalog, with transducers suitable for small rooms and Pure Array technology housed in an elegant aluminum frame, for a clear and at the same time discreet sound. From September 2022 the new Vyper series with a renewed design will be available, while for the most demanding applications the one meter version ensures a very high SPL, high sound quality and uniform coverage, with customizable RAL colors. Finally, the selectable impedance makes Vyper a perfect product for modular use: the system is modular in the length you need, without limits.
