The new Application Programming Interface supports the command structure of the JVC IP camera range.
JVC has released a new open Application Programming Interface (API) for the control of its IP cameras. With the new API users can write their own applications for Android/iOS devices and get full control over the camera menu. The new API can also be used to work with other systems or to implement control functions in hardware or controllers of existing JVC cameras.
The JVC range includes several live streaming IP cameras, including the 4K GY-HM200 handheld camcorder, the 4K Super 35 mm GY-LS300 camcorder, the ENG GY-HM660 camera and the GY-HM850/890 shoulder camcorder, in addition to the all-new Full Robotized KY-PZ100 model. The new API guarantees access to the command structure of the entire range of cameras. The new specifications describe the control commands via network, including the configuration settings of the camera, the PTZ functions where available and the system commands. API informations are available for free download but without technical support; the download can be made from the JVC website.
