To celebrate the technology at the basis of its success, JVC launches a new range of D-ILA projectors with the functionalities 4K and e-shift5 and the limited edition model DLA-20LTD.
The proprietary technology for video projection JVCKENWOOD for the high performance LCD reflective device D-ILA (Direct Drive Image Light Amplifier) dates back to 1997.
After the launch of the SXGA model (1,3 mega pixel), JVC has successfully developed in 2000 a D-ILA projector with a 4K resolution. An important moment, that paved the way to the development of the Full HD 0’7” device, in 2006, and to the smaller 4K device worldwide (o,69”) in 2016. JVC’s D-ILA devices have improved their performance over the years, increasingly minimizing their dimensions. 2017, the year of the 20th anniversary of D-ILA technology, welcome the new range of projectors DLA-RS640, DLA-RS540 e DLA-RS440, available on the market since October, as well as a limited celebratory edition, the DLA-20LTD model.
The new D-ILA projectors
Peculiar to the first three models is JVC’s proprietary technology e-shift, which further improves the 4K definition thanks to an algorithm re-programmed to implement the accuracy of the reproduction and to obtain clear images. In addition to the HDR automatic modality and to the gamma adjustment function, which regulates the image according to the viewing environment, two color profiles could be selected, one with priority to brightness, the other with priority to colours. Image processing technology Multiple Pixel Control (MPC), as well, has been improved to obtain genuinely realistic images, that only the 4K resolution could give.
To celebrate, there comes the DLA-20LTD limited edition
The celebrative model, designed for the 20th anniversary of the technological universe D-ILA, is being proposed in the peculiar red colour, the same shade of JVC logo, expression of values such as passion and enthusiasm, also at the base of the business strategy linked to the future of D-ILA projectors. In addition to this, the elegant design reveals to be the ideal for the installation in modern cinema halls. Among the technological tidbits of this special projector, the possibility to reach the highest native contrast of the sector, 200.000:1; among the “esthetical” ones, the 20th anniversary logo, projected at every start of the device.
