Jeff Meyer is Inogeni’s new Chief Revenue Officer, with the ambitious task of expanding the company’s global business, in all its aspects.
It was undoubtedly a privilege to interview Jeff Meyer directly about his new position at Inogeni, where he brings the experience of a long career in the professional AV world. The company is well known for its solutions designed for Unified Communication, audiovisual signal management, as well as its partnerships with prestigious brands such as Cisco and Huddly. Inogeni’s proposals include mixers, switchers, and converters designed to also meet all the new “hybrid” needs of companies. For multi-camera environments, moreover, these technologies allow the integration of multiple cameras in HDMI, USB, or SDI sources. Thus, a catalog rich in solutions and proposals: ideal for the further development of the brand in hitherto less frequented markets with ample room for growth.
So how does Jeff Meyer’s experience fit into the Inogeni reality? “Upon joining the company, I was able to see directly from the team’s innovative drive and commitment to staying abreast of the latest technology trends, without neglecting customer satisfaction,” Meyer begins. “The market offers a wide selection of innovations and solutions, but not all of them are innovative, here instead I found engineering knowledge and expertise, resulting in the creation of products that truly serve, complement existing systems, and offer real solutions.”
What, then, are Jeff Meyer’s thoughts on business development for Inogeni? “Our business ranges from Educational to Medical, through Conference and Corporate, with the whole area of meeting rooms and hybrid work. We want to develop all areas by relying on local distributors. Our network already touches important territories such as the United States and Canada, China, Australia, Singapore, and, in Europe, Denmark, Germany, and France, to name the main ones. But distributors in the territory are also important for gathering customer feedback and needs and targeting our productions accordingly. We also do not neglect the exhibition side, in which we strongly believe to present our solutions; finally, we also invest in so-called experience centers, places where it is possible to get in touch with our technology and discover its merits.” “In Italy,” Jeff continues, “we are present with as many as four partners: readers of Connessioni are certainly already familiar with the distributors Exertis and Satnet, we then also work with BL2 Store, which markets online solutions in the audio, photo, video, cinema and broadcast sectors, and CNC, also operating internationally. We are interested in the Italian market, there is a lot to do and, despite what is generally believed about your country, which I know well for having lived there for many years, it is a very receptive market and open to novelties.”
But if he had to define in a few words the main virtue of the Inogeni-branded technology, what would Jeff Meyer say? “Above all, simplicity is needed today. You have to offer truly plug-and-play products; in an era of smart working and hybrid working, the usability of technology is the number one requirement. The meeting room must effectively accommodate both those who are in attendance and those who connect from home with their PCs. So, any video conferencing room requires BYOM/BYOD solutions that allow the addition of a guest with their own soft-Codec. Our internationally awarded Toggle products and 4KX-Plus for Cisco Webex fully meet this need. Finally, I would add that the 100% made-in-Canada design and production of each device ensure that high-quality standards are met.”
