One of the first Microsoft Teams Rooms Windows video bars to enable Microsoft IntelliFrame functionality with multiple video streams, making hybrid work meetings more collaborative and inclusive
Jabra PanaCast 50 camera is one of the first front-of-room devices to work with Microsoft’s smart speaker solution for Teams Rooms
Dynamic Compositing/IntelliFrame allows you to get a better view of who is talking in the room.
Jabra, a leader in personal and professional audio and video solutions, announced at InfoComm 2023 new AI-based features for the PanaCast 50 camera and PanaCast 50 Room System.
Both functions play a key role in helping employees hold more productive meetings, get up to speed on key topics, organize key discussion points, and summarize actions so that the entire group understands the next steps.
The new multiple video stream feature allows remote users of the Teams meeting to get a better view of who is in the room with three video streams: the first stream is that of the current speaker, the second is that of the previous speaker, and the third depicts the full panoramic view of the meeting room or space, so that no participant feels left out. The facial recognition feature allows participants in the room – subject to authorization with individual registration – to show their names to users remotely and compile the list of participants.
Hybrid meetings are taken to the next level as the system features Jabra Intelligent Meeting Space. The new feature allows a virtual meeting room or space boundary to be set with the PanaCast 50, so that people within the defined space are fully included, while people outside the boundary are not inadvertently encompassed.
Aurangzeb Khan, Senior Vice President of Intelligent Vision Systems at Jabra, said, “We at Jabra are always looking for solutions to harness the power of cutting-edge AI technologies to revolutionize hybrid and remote meetings. That’s why we are excited to introduce these new features of the PanaCast 50 for collaboration with Microsoft Teams. These innovations are intended to provide professionals with immediate productivity benefits, helping them operate better in the era of seamless hybrid work, online and offline.”
Albert Kooiman, Senior Director, Microsoft Teams Devices Partner Engineering and Certification, Microsoft, commented, “Microsoft Teams harnesses the power of Artificial Intelligence to create unique user experiences before, during and after Teams meetings to enhance employee inclusion and foster natural collaboration. Jabra and Microsoft have worked closely on the PanaCast 50 to make this device an essential component that best implements AI-powered features.”
