Usually on the afternoon of the last day of the fair, an estimate of the attendance of the current edition is announced… the figures are not yet final but there is already talk of a higher number of visitors than in 2019, the most successful year.
But what is it that people find in this show, so much so that they return year after year, swelling the ranks of attendance? For everyone, there are common denominators (meeting customers, seeing what’s new, etc.) but then everyone goes their own way. Here are our reasons (at least as far as today is concerned) for coming back in 2024
Our day began with a meeting/breakfast with AVIXA Women Council Italy, the group of female professionals that has been working together since 2022 to enhance the presence of women in our industry. In the meeting, as always very pleasant, after having (rightly) celebrated some successes in 2023 – such as the increase in the number of members, with different professional skills, and the ability to propose high quality content thanks to this diversity of perspectives as demonstrated during the Smart Building Expo seminars in November – for 2024 it is proposed to insist on the group’s training vocation and to multiply the opportunities for exchange. Which will be just as many opportunities for growth.
Another important moment was the meeting with an Italian exhibitor who decided to acquire a series of brands through which he was able to bring new skills and solutions (in this case related to Audio Video) to the company; and it did so by confirming his absolute confidence in its brand, so much so that he re-branded the entire production related to the acquisitions (we are obviously talking about Nice). A reaffirmation of Made in Italy and corporate pride that we rarely see.
At the end of the day, despite our tiredness, we did not want to miss the convivial occasion of a dinner together with some professionals, and offered by Lightware Italia; partly in jest and partly in earnest, we discussed the whole evening on the topics I should have set out in this editorial, starting from the many innovations observed during the day, discussing the best technologies of the fair (naturally we returned to the virtual sets), to arrive at an impassioned exchange on how this sector should and could communicate its values and peculiarities to the outside world, focusing first of all on telling its story and on solid skills, also in communication. And on this point we cannot but agree.
And what are the reasons that will still bring you to Barcelona for ISE 2025?
