With three weeks to go before ISE, on 21 April the organisation invited journalists to an online press conference hosted by Managing Director Mike Blackman, to explain how the spring edition will turn out. In short word we could say: no new, good new, which in a time of constant change, is a relief.
Events, areas of interest, training and exhibitions have all been confirmed, as announced in recent weeks. To see them you can use the code 86ZWMXDG for free access to the show.
The main points are that even if ISE will not be exactly as we know it, it will still have many cards to play and opportunities to offer to visitors and exhibitors, summarized in a slide: five halls, 45,000sqm occupied, over 800 exhibitors, a dozen educational events on vertical markets plus those organized by companies. This year there will be two Key Notes: on 10 May at 6.00 pm Refik Anadol, multimedia artist who will talk about the aesthetics of data and artificial intelligence, while on the 11th, also at 6.00 pm, we will be able to follow the talk Next Generation Immersive Entertainment, by Alan Greenberg CEO and founder of Illuminarium, specialised in interactive content, immersiveness and design. For the first time there will also be an “Influencer Room”, which we felt was a further example of the progressive exchange between the ways and methods of the professional and consumer sectors.
On the “Experience” side, ISE wanted to give visitors a further motivation to visit the show: it will in fact be possible to visit the 650 square metres of Art Experience, set up by ISE in collaboration with Exhibition Hub, and to attend – from 9 to 11 – the spectacular mapping that will take place at the Plaça d’Espagna, entitled I RISE, evocative and referential of our sector at the same time.
The event was also attended by representatives of the two associations co-organising ISE: Daryl Friedman, Global President and CEO of CEDIA, and David Labuskes, CEO of AVIXA. Always very interesting was AVIXA’s contribution on numbers and trends, deduced from the market surveys that the association produces: a positive message, after the difficulties of the first “Covid era”, because within 3-4 years the AV sector should exceed by 1/3 the values of 2019, reaching a global level of 329 billion dollars. The hope of the Italians, which we wish to see transformed into an expectation, is always the same: to be able to share at least in part these trends, and expereince their positive effects also in our market.
