Four editions between the beginning and the end of June starting from Barcelona to Munich, Amsterdam and London. Hybrid mode gives everyone the opportunity to participate, physical ‘light’ stands and a format all based on content, and on a platform “a bit like Netflix” Mike Blackman told us, Managing Director of ISE.
Last week ISE announced that it had changed its format to meet the needs of companies and visitors, which are constantly changing due to the infinite variables related to the pandemic situation in various countries, in Europe as in other continents. Barcelona, Munich, Amsterdam and London will host the four editions, which will take place in hybrid mode. Here are all the details in an interview given to Connessioni by Mike Blackman, Managing Director of ISE.
Connessioni – ISE will take place in hybrid mode, and there is a great curiosity about the chosen platform.
MB – It was not easy, we evaluated many possibilities and in the end we chose the solution developed with Cisco, suitable for responding to the needs of meeting between people, and which still leaves the right space and similar opportunities to be noticed both great and small. We are working on the contents around which companies and visitors can be involved, we will attract experts, associations, exhibitors; we will create channels, centres of interest, animated areas and areas managed by exhibitors … how can I explain… it will be a bit like the Netflix structure!
C – How will the exhibition part be in the various locations?
MB – We shouldn’t think of events as small ISE editions. The main concerns of exhibitors are not of a health nature, on this side we are taking all precautions, but more effective on the presence of the public. We did some surveys with people who visited ISE, and many found it difficult to go to ISE but more feasible to visit a local event. This is why we brought the fair to the people and obviously chose Barcelona, which remains the base and the main edition, where we will be able to meet the public of Southern Europe, Amsterdam (also at the RAI), where we will meet a large part of our visitors’ historic buildings, Munich at the Mac Forum of the Munich Airport Centre, suitable because it has indoor and outdoor areas, and London at the Evolution centre in Battersea.
C – How will the exhibition part be presented?
MB – Exhibitors can choose from five predefined set-up options, from 9 to 100 square meters, we will take care of the construction and management of each event directly. We have devised a format that does not require large investments in the stands, also because some companies may decide to exhibit in all four locations. We have left the exhibitors maximum freedom to participate how and where they want, since they may have different interests for the proposed locations.
C – Will we have no chance of an Italian edition?
MB – Four editions cover the maximum of our possibilities. We would like to be in France, Italy, Scandinavia, but we are already doing our best… I think my team would kill me!
C – How did you make these decisions?
MB – Always in conversation with our exhibitors and partners. Now we just hope to see you soon and get back to events in person as soon as possible. Fingers crossed!
