We spoke with Claudio Ceroni and Matilde Bandini, founders and owners of MeCtech, a brilliant Italian company distributing Dataton and Pixilab multimedia solutions
Saying MeCtech is like saying Watchout: the Italian company is, in fact, a Premium Partner of Dataton for Italy and Malta, and the Watchout system is one of the most well-known for managing multi-display multimedia events. This is complemented by the vibrant Pixilab brand, which, with Blocks, made a notable impression at MAF 2024, where there was a strong emphasis on this solution.
The founders of MeCtech – Claudio Ceroni and Matilde Bandini – kindly agreed to a brief interview, in which they provided a quick yet comprehensive review of their participation in the event.
Q – Why did you choose to participate in MAF 2024? What were your expectations and goals?
CLAUDIO CERONI – We participated knowing we would be in an environment that’s not exactly our own. In fact, we didn’t expect to generate business immediately but rather aimed to obtain and exchange contacts for future opportunities. That’s exactly what happened. We were pleased to meet big players like Mediaset, though I must say I had hoped for a bit more from the visitors, as their response was somewhat underwhelming.
Q – What did you showcase, and what impressed the visitors the most?
CC – The solution that certainly caught the most attention was Pixilab Blocks, the software designed to create dynamic experiences that allows you to visualize, control, and interact with a single system. We knew we weren’t exactly centered on the core of this sector and event, but our goal remains to expand into other markets with cross-sector contacts.
Q – A final assessment of your participation?
MATILDE BANDINI – We still come away with a very positive impression from this experience and event. We’re not looking for immediate answers but aim to open up future opportunities that could offer interesting market and collaboration prospects. In this sense, participation was undoubtedly positive.
