IED Amaze Project 2022
The Metaverse is now a reality: a wonderful oxymoron! However, if companies are already working on it, the industry is still looking for applications capable of generating real business, as explained in the Gruppo SCAI research that you can read below. Meanwhile, education has already appropriated it
IED Amaze Project 2022 is the virtual exhibition of the best end-of-three-year projects that the European Institute of Design is presenting in Milan among interior and product design, fashion, visual arts, and communication creations.
The experiential exhibition winds its way through an interactive exhibition itinerary that features 28 thesis projects from the last two academic years belonging to different disciplinary areas, subdivided and usable by keyword, according to macro-themes that unite them beyond the same approach to design and the universal language of Design.
An interactive interface allows the visitor to choose a keyword from those proposed, and explore the projects related to it through video materials, followed by an immersive experience in VR with Oculus visors, through video game booths and, remotely, mobile apps.
The projects
The thesis projects on display include intelligent products that communicate with the user and support them in their daily lives (e.g. the HéDI smart wardrobe system); short films, 3D films, animation shorts, and photo shoots; illustrated books, video games, or interactive game experiences (including Doorways, designed for young paediatric patients); fashion, inclusive accessories and jewellery collections; and interior design projects for a new way of experiencing commercial or domestic environments and, with them, relationships.
