The project, created by Samsung with the important partnerships of Trinnov, Vismara Design and K-array, aims to create the most innovative multimedia experience in the Home Theater sector
The “parterre” of brands is impressive: Samsung, Vismara Design, Trinnov and K-array! As if to say: innovative technologies for an exceptional goal, to realise the most intense multimedia experience of “Luxury Living”. Home Theatre is no longer just Cinema: with “Luxury LED for Home”, Samsung promises to reinvent home entertainment.
But what is, ultimately, “Luxury LED for Home”? Quickly said: “it’s a concept for Home Cinema, built at the Smart Home in the Samsung District of Milan and dedicated to all those who want a unique entertainment experience, designed with high quality materials and finishes. The result of a fusion of excellent materials and technologies, the room exploits the modularity of the Samsung microLED display and finds its completion in the flexibility of the K-array and Trinnov audio configurations. Samsung offers its latest generation IF series screens available in 109” and 130” FHD and 219” and 260” UHD formats. Vismara Design participates with the elegant armchairs designed for Home Entertainment, while K-array contributes with high-end audio speakers for dynamic and timbre performance, with a very low visual impact. Finally, Trinnov brings its A/V processors.
In entertainment, sound is a fundamental architectural element. This is why the elegance and performance of the K-array speakers have been integrated into the armchairs and furnishings designed by Vismara Design, together with the flexibility of the Trinnov Altitude 16 processor, in Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 configuration.
Unlike traditional cinema screens, in fact, Samsung’s microLED solution does not allow the positioning of audio sources behind the screen canvas. Here the K-array solutions find their precise location: the thin Vyper-KV52, ultra-flat passive line array speakers, just 4 cm wide, constitute the main channels of the audio system: LEFT, CENTRE and RIGHT of the Dolby Atmos configuration see the speaker 50 cm integrated in 1.5 m columns on the sides of the screen (three units on each side connected in parallel), while another two Vyper-KV52X in point source version (renamed FLOOD) are positioned above and below the microLED display to reconstruct the central canal. The Vyper-KV52 on the sides of the screen integrate naturally into the architectural spaces of the room. All K-array diffusers can be customized with custom colors on the RAL palette and fine finishes, capable of making the diffuser a piece of furniture beyond its functional characteristics.
The front channel’s Vyper are driven by the Kommander-KA24 four-channel amplifier. With its 600W per channel at 4Ω, Kommander-KA24 is present in two units to drive the front and surround channels; a channel of the Kommander-KA84 amplifier capable of delivering 2000W@4Ω was dedicated to the LFE channel. Finally, the audio system is completed by the three Rumble-KU212 subwoofers, passive speakers in a closed enclosure with compact dimensions, with a 12” double coil transducer and selectable impedance 8Ω – 32Ω, for deep and well aligned bass, and by the eight full speakers Domino-KF26 range for surround and celing channels.
In short, K-array, a brand distributed by Exhibo, is a fundamental part of “Luxury LED for Home”: the future of home entertainment has already arrived.
