Present in the EET catalogue with some of its most representative products in the field of CCTV and video surveillance, the Danish brand Ernitec offers high-level solutions for all requirements.
Founded in 1972, Ernitec is a Danish company that designs and manufactures avant-garde video surveillance equipment, well known for its particular quality and stability and suitable for a wide range of medium to high-security applications. The firm specialises in the production of IP Dome cameras, resistant to acts of vandalism, and Bullet Ultra Low Light cameras which are ideal for low or extremely low-light environments.
The EET Group website provides potential clients with all of the tools that allow them to search for and identify a product that will suit their needs. In the section dedicated to the Ernitec brand all of the firm’s video surveillance camera models and relative accessories may be found. Ernitec cameras, servers and drivers are compatible with the specifications of the ONVIF group, the open industry forum for the development of a global standard for the interface of IP-based security products. The ONVIF specifications ensure interoperability among these products, all of which are manufactured in Denmark according to the highest industry standards.
A closer look at the products
In the field of IP Dome vandal-resistant cameras, the EET Group offers the sixth generation of Ernitec Mercury cameras. These products feature high-speed CMOS sensors (up to 60 fps with a resolution of 5 Megapixels) and incorporate various advanced image enhancement technologies for the most accurate colour reproduction. Among the other features of the Mercury SX6 series, the Ultra Wide Dynamic Range of up to 120 dB makes these cameras ideal for surveillance in areas with strong light variations, while the motorized lens, ranging from 2.7 to 12 mm, provides a wider image acquisition capacity. Remote zoom and focus functions allow for remote system management, speeding up installation and reducing costs.
Finally, regarding power and codecs, the sixth-generation Mercury SX range features the Power over Ethernet (PoE) technique, a further simplification of the installation process as a single cable is sufficient to power the camera and heater and transmit the video signal. The system also incorporates the latest innovations in codec technology, allowing for streaming in the H.264 or in the new H.265 format, which reduces video storage requirements.
The protection level of Mercury Dome cameras is ensured by the housing fully made of aluminium with tamper-proof screws, providing complete IK10 protection and, of course, in addition to IP66 protection against dust, rain and snow. The cameras operate within a temperature range of -40°C to +50°C.
The EET Group proposal related to the Ernitec brand is supplemented by the Bullet models. These cylindrical surveillance cameras, which can be installed both outdoors and indoors, feature a 1/2.7″ Progressive Scan CMOS sensor (1920 × 1080 at 30fps HDR), ONVIF compatibility and the same IK10 and IP66 protection levels as the Dome models. Perfect for low or extremely low-light situations, Ernitec HALO Ultra Low Light models also provide Face Detection and Face Recognition technology and are powered via PoE (IEEE 802.3af).
