EET is proud to announce an important milestone in our sustainability initiative: we reached our Million Tree Pledge and planted 1 million trees in the EET forest, an initiative that supports reforestation efforts around the world
Since the start of the partnership with Ecologi nel 2021, we have planted one tree for every five shipments leaving EET warehouses. The EET Forest project has also benefited from numerous contributions from EET’s valued suppliers, who have supported World Environment Day and Green Friday, making it possible to achieve this remarkable milestone in just a few years.
“We are incredibly proud to have reached 1 million trees in our EET forest and owe a huge thank you to our suppliers for their contributions. This milestone is a testament to the power of collaboration and the impact companies can have when they work together for a common goal,” said Kristian Lading, vice president, Components Division, EET Group
To celebrate this achievement, EET decided to give a special gift to all its employees: a high-quality reusable stainless steel water bottle and a cap made from 65 percent recycled plastic that floats in the sea. Each water bottle purchased will help fund a drilling project in Africa that will be able to provide drinking water to those in need for the next 7 years. On the bottle are the GPS coordinates of the well we helped fund.
“We are confident that our employees will appreciate the fact that, in addition to helping them stay hydrated, this initiative helps provide clean water to those in need,” said Søren Drewsen, CEO, EET Group
EET’s forestry project is just one of EET’s sustainability initiatives, which also includes reducing energy consumption in our warehouses and offices, promoting sustainable packaging, and reducing waste. “Having a positive impact on the environment and contributing to the fight against climate change is a source of great pride for us. We will continue to work with Ecologi and our valued customers and suppliers to grow the EET Forest and support reforestation efforts around the world,” adds Søren Drewsen, CEO, EET Group
