Samsung’s WAD series of interactive displays enables easier learning and lively, modern teaching thanks to Android technology and EDLA certification
The EDLA (Enterprise Device License Agreement) Certification that the Samsung WAD series of multi-touch interactive displays is equipped with guarantees easy access to Google services as well as access to the main educational apps, such as Google Classroom, which allows you to further increase the efficiency of lessons and improve communication between teachers and students, with a view to an increasingly modern and interactive school. Who said, in fact, that learning cannot be an engaging and fun activity? The profound technological and methodological renewal that the world of school is going through, in fact, aims precisely to make educational activities more immersive and engaging.
Ease of learning and intuitiveness are the basic concepts that led to the development of Samsung WAD interactive displays, available in 65”, 75” and 86” sizes and based on the Android operating system, thanks to which it is very easy to download the necessary applications from the Google Play Store and use, for educational purposes, the pre-installed apps such as YouTube and Chrome.
The WAD series aims for familiarity, being naturally compatible with other Android devices, and flexibility, which allows you to build an environment suited to the learning needs of each individual student.
EDLA Certification plays an important role in this: but what is it? In essence, it is a set of advanced security features for Android devices used in sensitive environments, such as corporate and, indeed, school environments. The features include encryption and remote data deletion as well as interesting advanced device management tools, such as automatic firmware and software updates.
In addition, an interactive display with EDLA certification offers an easier and smoother user experience, thanks above all to the responsiveness and precision in detecting users’ touches (which is even more important in the case of multi-touch displays such as those of the Samsung WAD series, which support up to 40 simultaneous touch points). Finally, the EDLA certification guarantees that an interactive display has all the best features dedicated to Collaboration, such as sharing content in real time with other devices and integration with other technologies.
The WAD series also supports screen mirroring for up to nine devices, to promote collaboration and simplify teachers’ work. In practice, it is possible to share content wirelessly both on the main screen and on individual devices (the function is available for iOS, Mac, Windows, Android or Chrome operating systems). The connectivity of the WAD series interactive diaplays is based on the 3-in-1 USB-C port, which enables screen mirroring, touch control and charging of external devices (max. 65 W). Teachers, by connecting to the USB-C port, can start the lesson with one click. Finally, the HDMI Out function allows you to share content from the screen on another larger screen in the classroom.
