ETC Onlyview, a Paris-based system integrator, has collaborated with Digital Projection to bring the Eternal Mucha exhibition to life at the Grand Palais Immersif in Paris. This immersive exhibition showcases the iconic Art Nouveau designs of Alphonse Mucha through large-scale projection mapping using nearly 30 Digital Projection laser projectors. The exhibition, produced by Grand Palais Immersif, offers a multi-sensory experience by utilizing state-of-the-art AV technology, including spatial sound mixing and olfactory technologies.
ETC Onlyview, acting as the technical service provider, deployed Digital Projection’s E-Vision Laser 11000 4K-UHD projectors for the exhibition. These projectors offer outstanding solid-state illumination at an affordable price point, delivering high-quality performance and flexibility. The projection content focuses on the life and work of Mucha, featuring a three-part film projected onto a triptych of surfaces, accompanied by high-resolution images of Mucha’s artwork. The synchronized projection screens were designed to complement each other, creating a visually captivating experience.
ETC Onlyview’s partnership with Grand Palais Immersif includes installation, programming, maintenance, and support for the equipment used in the exhibition. Digital Projection projectors were chosen for their power, image quality, and reliability, with the added assurance of a five-year warranty.
The use of digital technology allows visitors to explore Mucha’s works in a unique way, immersing themselves in large-scale reproductions and appreciating intricate details that would otherwise go unnoticed. The Eternal Mucha exhibition demonstrates the advantages of projection mapping and digital technology in presenting art in a captivating and inspiring manner.
