Inaugurated in mid-May, Digital Bloom is the space within MIND in Milan where integration is the watchword, at all levels. Between professionals and suppliers, between technologies and furnishings, and of course between design approaches and use of spaces
Digital Bloom was born out of the collaboration between a number of companies with different profiles, gathered around the project by business creator Eros Ghezzi: a perfect meeting, and interlocking, of interests and impulses, and offering the public a space, that is, a tool where a real and proactive integration of technology, design, wellness, experimentation, sharing, and cultural contamination can be experienced. But also a state-of-the-art example for an audience, both professional and non-professional, of what a truly integrated design approach can produce: the result is a place, under the banner of user experience friendly to which much attention is devoted, for events, meetings and gatherings available for anyone who wants to book it, for events and networking activities.
Ghezzi during the presentation told how it is possible, through a systemic approach by companies, to create added value for all stakeholders (building owners, users, suppliers, etc.), rewriting parameters that were thought to be unfeasible, and implementing real sustainability and wellbeing policies.
Digital Bloom as a demonstration environment
Not least, Digital Bloom is also a demonstration environment for the companies participating in the project, many of which operate in the integration sector. Woba, an international group that works in digital space design, among other things, and has also been in the Italian market for some time, was responsible for giving substance to Ghezzi’s ideas. Together they involved companies such as Exhibo, ScreenLine, Lutron, Video LED 360, distributors and solution providers involved in the creation of the spaces: from Ecler (sound diffusion) and Kinderman (collaboration) brought by Exhibo, to 375 LEDs (indoor and outdoor LEDwalls) from ScreenLine’s portfolio, to lighting management with Lutron. Also worth mentioning is the contribution of Caimi Brevetti, with its sound-absorbing panels for acoustic comfort, Pellini for innovative curtains that reflect heat and regulate light for energy savings and respect for biological rhythms, Nuvap for air quality, and Nextome, the start-up that proposes position detection systems combined with dedicated apps… of course there is already an app for Digital Bloom.
Silvano Nones, product manager LED-LFD Digital Solutions BU, told us, “At Digital Bloom we are present with 375 LED, one of the latest brands to join our distribution for digital communication. We recently started a collaboration with Woba, which often involves us as a distributor in projects for which it is project manager.”
Instead, Alberto Comolli, CEO of Woba, explained a little more about the company’s role: “The group was born in the U.S. 10 years ago, we develop technologies and services for Digital Signage, Systems Integration, in the field of infrastructure. As designers of digital environments we then engage the distributor with the right solutions, which will then be integrated by a trusted Ststem Integrator. We say we operate as a contractor, often going as far as project management. Italy is a growing market of interest to us, and more active than is usually believed, just look at the number and quality of corporate mergers and acquisitions by Italian companies in recent months.”
