Crestron announced new and improved DM Lite solutions, which will enable optimized connectivity, signal and extension of control in large meeting environments.
Crestron Electronics has announced the expansion of the DigitalMedia content delivery platform, which will include the new DM Lite transmitters and receivers. This product line extends the use of peripherals such as cameras and speakers in applications of all sizes and simplifies content sharing in BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) environments, with a simplified plug-and-display mode of use. Not only that: connectivity, signal and control solutions support the most common connections, including USB-C and HDMI, all in full compatibility with the Crestron DMPS Lite and DM Lite ecosystem.
BYOD content sharing has become prevalent in hybrid meeting rooms and higher education environments. DM Lite transmitters and receivers enable BYOD sharing eliminating the need for adapters or converters and enhancing stability in signal transmission. DM Lite transmitters and receivers support peripheral extensions while maintaining high video resolutions up to 4K 4: 4: 4. Additionally, DM Lite supports enterprise-grade security protocols and the latest security standard in enterprise content protection, HDCP 2.3. Also evident is the importance of the USB-C connection in the most modern meeting rooms and corporate environments, moreover, Crestron has decided to support this standard: transmitters with USB-C connectivity allow customers to view and convert content in high quality up to 70 meters away, allowing it to be used even in large meeting rooms and auditoriums. In addition to USB-C connectivity and transmission, the DM Lite series also offers HDMI integration and device charging capabilities. The solutions, however, do not require customized programming and are quick and easy to install.
Like all products in the Crestron DigitalMedia portfolio, the DM Lite line is interoperable within the broader ecosystem of Crestron workplace solutions. IT managers can leverage the Crestron XiO Cloud technology operations management platform for seamless, easy, and scalable system deployments and upgrades. Additional features available include audio embedding and de-embedding, control extension and an audio return channel. With twenty-five models available, companies can choose the form factor, function and price that best suits their needs. DM Lite transmitters and receivers will be on the market starting from the end of August 2022.
